Using the Audio/Visual Equipment

All equipment is operated through the DOAR video presenter.

Begin by turning the DOAR presenter on.  The button is on the back, left side to turn it on.  Next, turn on the TV. It does not need to be set to a channel.  It is already preset.  The equipment will not function properly if you change the channel.

Input "Internal" is the DOAR presenter.  The base lamp is for transparencies and the side lamps are for documents.  The camera should be pulled all the way up and the side lamps should be all the way out for best reception.

Input "AV-1" is the VCR.  Simply push this button, put in your tape, and press play.  It will work automatically.  Do not force the tapes in.  The VCRs are designed to take the tapes and pull them in.  If you force it, you bend the side bars inside the VCR and it has to be replaced.

Input "AV-2" is the computer connection.  You can use this with your laptops for PowerPoint presentations, etc.  All you need do to is push the button and start your computer for this to work. It has a 9-pin male connection.

Two precautions: (1) Do not force the tapes into the VCR, and (2) please don't run over exposed cables connecting the equipment.  It becomes damaged and is expensive to replace.

If you have any questions on operation of this equipment, please see the staff.  We'll be more than happy to help you.
